I am a Great Believer of my FAITH

We spent our Christmas Eve and the whole day of Christmas in the hospital since my sister has not been recovered from Dengue and still being confined in Manila Medical Center. It was not until Saturday when she got discharged from the hospital and she finally went home. It was a really sad Christmas for me and for the whole family since that was the first time that our Christmas Holidays went into sudden tears of fears. Her platelets count was enormously changing. It was like 110 from the start and it went down to 80, then down by 70...went up to 91, and down by 84 counts.
I was told that the normal count should be around 150.And from the figures my sister has gotten into, it was really alarming. We were told that the doctors need to have constant monitoring of her blood test, because if her platelet counts moved down to 50, a blood transfusion more or less was needed. And that scared the hell out of me. I’m a broken window when it comes to medical stuff so whatever things I've heard from others about Dengue, made me feel much worried. All I knew was my sister is sick. On the night of Christmas Eve, we decided to bring our loving dogs outside the hospital for my sick sister would get to see them. You don't know how much our three dogs mean a lot to us, they are like a part of the family. Moving on, we asked the nurse in charged if we could possibly bring her down and perhaps she could possibly see our dogs outside waiting for her. The nurse said yes as long as she's still around the hospital premises. The thing was if she was only allowed to roam around the hospital, she wouldn't get a peek to our dogs outside. So what we did was, we asked the guard on duty, if she could stay beside the Emergency Room gate, and we were allowed but that wasn't too close to where my dogs were staying. After a long convincing with the guards, we smoothly wheel chaired my sis outside the hospital and went to the near blocks where my dogs at. She went into tears seeing our dogs and our little one seemed like they have been away from each other in like forever. We didn't have the traditional Noche Buena though, but the important thing was we're complete in welcoming Christmas. We stayed outside until 1 in the morning. On the 25th, mom and I went to Black Nazarene Church to attend mass and offer prayers for my sister, and we felt relieve. After a queue of waiting on the following day, the doctor said she could finally get discharged although she has not reached yet the normal level but with the entire test, he said my sister is going to be fine.

That was the moment I knew that it’s really our Almighty God who will save us from anything. And my faith was strong. I’m definitely a great believer of my faith.

Thanks everyone for the prayers and for all the care.:)

I really appreciate every single one of you..:) You know who you are.....

A Sad Christmas for ME.....

It's going to be a sad Christmas for me. My sister is sick and was admitted yesterday in the hospital. She was suspected to have Dengue fever since the number of her platelets dropped into 105. I don’t know about the normal count everyone should have. But the only thing that kills me right now is it happened on the Christmas season where everyone is expected to have fun and celebrate.I'd like to take it easy for at least my sadness wouldn't be noticeable. This will be the first time that we'll be spending the special day in the hospital.Well, I just wish my sister will get better before the New Year's Eve. I don't want to welcome 2010 with any of us is sick, that’s going to be awful. And I was supposed to take pictures of her so I could atleast share it to everyone, but too bad again, I don't have my phone with me.
I hope my dear blogger friends and readers would pray for the fast recovery of my sis.
Still, I'm wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!!
Have fun and enjoy for at least you're all in your best shape.:)

till then,

Fixed Income Team Christmas Party

Last night was our dearest Team Christmas Party held in just one of the conference rooms in the office. It was my first Christmas with them and I did enjoy. Even if some of us were still not timed out from work, we still managed to celebrate the party with a blast.
Thank God there were no client queries to interrupt us in the middle of entertainment. We were like kids again that night. We all played games competitively as if it would add a portion to our salaries as a reward. I didn't win though.
We also have varieties of food that we're perfect to everyone. There's pizza, spaghetti, sausages, sushi and a lot more.
It's another treasure moments to cherish...

It feels so good to feel the spirit of Christmas!

I wish I have more time.

I was speaking with a friend when finally I realized I haven't done shopping for Christmas because of work. My weekend will be roughly busy with other things to do, so it's clear enough that I would probably be on the rash a few days left before Christmas. How I wish I could just pull back time, so I could have been much better in time management. Oh well, we cannot turn back time. And speaking of time, I'm really running out of time to buy an exchange gift for our Christmas party this Monday.
The budget as required is now lower than 500 pesos. A Christmas wish list was created for us not to get so much hassle which is totally good since it would help us save time and effort in picking a gift.

Well, I might skip my lunch tomorrow to buy the gift...

Never been so lucky with raffles!!!

Have you had a great weekend??
Well, my Saturday night was happily spent in the year end event Christmas Party of the company I'm working with. We had a blast and really enjoyed the night with the variety of foods catered by Via Mare and the ever prestigious raffles, I didn't win though, I ended up being one of those loser when it comes to raffles, never been so lucky with that ever since. But it still heart breaking to know that I missed to get the big time raffles, and so were my friends.
I'd like to emphasize what the big time raffles include?

2 Sony Home Theater with multisystem 32” LCD High Definition TV
4 Acer Aspire One mini-laptops
4 Panasonic 32” LCD High Definition TV
4 Nintendo Wii US version
6 Sony PlayStation Portable Slim 3000
6 Flip Video Cameras
100 pieces SM Gift Checks worth P500

Oh boy, these are pretty damn good! Who wouldn't want to take home one of these junks? I’m calling it junks now since I didn't get any of those..hahaha..( I sound frustrated and devastated now)
Well, just to forget about the junks, I made sure to enjoy the night with my friends.

We were all carried away to the dance floor and just let our frustrations slipped away for awhile.

It was again another frustrating yet memorable good time of the year of my life that I was able to share with my good friends; at least memories are not being raffled.

Christmas Hampers from Mr. Thomson Reuters

Christmas is a time of family, friends, colleague and sharing, and one of the best ways to show it is through giving Christmas Hampers. Few days are left for another year and 2009 has been interesting and wonderful times within the corporate world and nearly all of us have been effected by the economic upheaval. But there's no way to missed extending our gratitude to the people we've been with and work together as one. Now, more than ever employees and customers appreciate companies who acknowledge their staff efforts and customer support.
Finally, we’ve received early Christmas Hampers from the company.
We were as excited as everyone to see what kind of goodies were inside the bags.Almost everything you need to make pasta this Christmas eve were present, Toblerone Chocolates, Chip Ahoy cookies and many more. But did I mention that Swift Ham was included? Oh yes, there’s Ham and wouldn't like to bring home all of these?
It’s gonna be heavy to carry tough.

We never missed to have pictures taken with this early Christmas Hamper!

Give away gifts for XMAS!

Hey!
Early this morning, I was wrapping give away gifts courtesy of my mother for her friendly clients. I offered my not so talented hands to do it since my shift for work was not as early as 12pm.I figured if I have a creative wrapping ideas to show off. While doing it, I felt pressured on getting my own give away gifts for friends. I’ll find time on weekend though. My mom picked these little colorful handbags from Secosana. When you try to open it, it’s really not little at all. It could either be a handbag or shoulder bag at once. I haven't finished wrapping it all, just done with the first 10, there are 20 more to go, but probably I'll get it done later tonight.
I just hope mom would not let me wrap my own gift from her..lol.If she plans on giving me one because usually I get to asked it straight from her whenever we're out for little shopping...

till next time,

cza:)
