Fixed Income Team Christmas Party

Last night was our dearest Team Christmas Party held in just one of the conference rooms in the office. It was my first Christmas with them and I did enjoy. Even if some of us were still not timed out from work, we still managed to celebrate the party with a blast.
Thank God there were no client queries to interrupt us in the middle of entertainment. We were like kids again that night. We all played games competitively as if it would add a portion to our salaries as a reward. I didn't win though.
We also have varieties of food that we're perfect to everyone. There's pizza, spaghetti, sausages, sushi and a lot more.

It's another treasure moments to cherish...

It feels so good to feel the spirit of Christmas!

Foods to Avoid During Pregnancy

Some things harm the fetus immediately others may affect the proper development of the immune system and make the child prone to several illnesses in later life. Eating well balanced meals is important at all times, but it is even more essential when you are pregnant. There are essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that your developing baby needs. Most foods are safe; however, there are some foods that you should avoid during pregnancy. Raw Eggs: Should be avoided because of the potential exposure to salmonella.
Herbal teas: Citrus peel, ginger, lemon balm, orange peel and rosehip herbal teas are generally safe, but mothers should have no more than 2-3 cups a day.

Alcohol: Alcohol consumed during pregnancy can be harmful and result in fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) or fetal alcohol effects (FAE). Consumption of alcoholic beverages causes host of health problems in the baby, including low body weight, learning disabilities, visual problems, deformed organs and other abnormalities.

Fish and seafood with mercury: it cause delay in the development of your baby.

Smoked Seafood - it may be contaminated with Listeria which is harmful.

Raw vegetable sprouts -may have been exposed to a parasitic disease 'toxoplasmosis'.

Fish caught in rivers, lakes, streams, or any other body of water.
Swordfish, shark, tilefish, king mackerel, limit canned albacore tuna fish.
Peanuts
Unpasteurized dairy foods

Never been so lucky with raffles!!!

Well, my Saturday night was happily spent in the year end event Christmas Party of the company I'm working with. We had a blast and really enjoyed the night with the variety of foods catered by Via Mare and the ever prestigious raffles, I didn't win though, I ended up being one of those loser when it comes to raffles, never been so lucky with that ever since. But it still heart breaking to know that I missed to get the big time raffles, and so were my friends.
I'd like to emphasize what the big time raffles include?

Oh boy, these are pretty damn good! Who wouldn't want to take home one of these junks? I’m calling it junks now since I didn't get any of those..hahaha..( I sound frustrated and devastated now)
Well, just to forget about the junks, I made sure to enjoy the night with my friends.

We were all carried away to the dance floor and just let our frustrations slipped away for awhile.

It was again another frustrating yet memorable good time of the year of my life that I was able to share with my good friends; at least memories are not being raffled.

But did I mention that Swift Ham was included? Oh yes, there’s Ham and wouldn't like to bring home all of these?
It’s gonna be heavy to carry tough.

I am such a loser not until today!

It was our dear friend birthday last December 7.So,we planned to give her something special.We actually intended to surprise her with a not so late birthday greetings from us written in a star design papers and of course with yummy gourmet cake. We’ve shared the chocolate gourmet cake that was equally sliced into 9 for lunch and we all had fun. We It was the first time I ever tried gourmet cake and for that reason I was such a big loser not until Kat's birthday. Gourmet cakes are really good. it was like eating ice cream and cake at the same time. I guess, it’s all because of its special frosting.

I'm certain that you don't want to be a big loser like me because you haven't tried this cake so you all have the means to try it by ordering it or doing your own cakes with simple gourmet cake recipes at the comfort of your home.

I am a CHOCOLATE lover!

I love kids. Kids love chocolates. Therefore I love chocolates!
Well, that was really logical and may be considered truth. I actually like to spoil and splurge myself with chocolates especially after a long and tiring work.Every now and then, my family sees to it to have chocolates stored in our fridge. It’s actually good as dessert after every meal and at the same time we are enjoying having our favorites displayed on the fridge.
Last night, my sister brought home yummy chocolates that I absolutely can't resist.There were Toblerone mini’s, Hershey Kisses and Snickers which I freakin' love.I am really into milk chocolates but lately I've been craving for dark chocolates .I was told by a friend who is also a chocolate lover that dark chocolates are good for the heart. It has a lot of heart benefits by reducing our bad cholesterol up to 10 percent and for our blood pressure. And by researching, found out that plain dark chocolates are the healthiest of all without having too much of sugar intake and the so called saturated fat. Certainly, these dark chocolates are proven to be beneficial.
So, as for now, I’ll keep myself indulged with these dark chocolates but I need to make sure to keep on my budget since chocolates are not that cheap.
I'm thinking to make homemade dark chocolates for me since my mom knows a bit in doing it. I guess, it would be fun to do something you love.

How do you start your day? Well most of us could be seen with a cup of coffee to start our day. And probably it's the best way to start our day. It’s because there is just something about having a cup of coffee that is soothing and relaxing. The warmth of the cup in your hand, the aroma of the coffee, and the rich taste as you drink it. A conversation could also start with just a cup of coffee with your friends.
Along with coffee are it's health benefits as coffee has caffeine that acts as a stimulant that could make you energetic throughout the day and to keep you going. It could also reduce the risk to some diseases like Parkinson's, Colon Cancer, Heart diseases and even Depression.

As coffee turned to be a commodity, a lot of companies have now become famous because of the coffee they offer. And lucky for those coffee lovers who are on their road trip as they could have it on the go.:)
